The challenge of designing and building a home on a steep slope in Sitges was a unique opportunity for our team. Our clients wanted a house that maximized the sea views from the highest point of the plot, placing all daytime living spaces on the top floor to capture the stunning vistas of the Mediterranean.

We embrace the challenge of working with diverse topographies, and this project allowed us to create a bespoke architectural design tailored to the specific needs of the owners. Beyond the spectacular views, the clients requested a strong connection to the outdoor spaces, an abundance of natural light, and a seamless flow between the interior and exterior areas.
The design of the house focuses on a single access point to the plot, which serves as both pedestrian and vehicle access. For those arriving by car, the garage provides direct access to all floors via an interior elevator. For those walking to the home, the entrance is reached via a beton-en-brut staircase, leading to a welcoming outdoor terrace and the main entrance of the home.
The steep slope is thoughtfully addressed by creating a series of terraced platforms and green spaces around the house, blending the architecture seamlessly with the natural landscape. These green terraces not only enhance the integration of the house into its surroundings but also provide a backdrop to the home’s architectural design.
At the rear of the property, a spacious terraced garden is highlighted by a concrete pool, a pergola for outdoor dining, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. These outdoor areas connect to the living room through large sliding windows, which open onto a front terrace, ensuring unobstructed views across the garden and the Mediterranean Sea.
On the top floor, the heart of the home is the living room, which opens to the surrounding terraces, allowing for a seamless connection between the interior and the exterior. The large kitchen features a central island and pantry, offering a functional yet stylish space for cooking and entertaining. The dining room enjoys expansive views and creates the perfect setting for family gatherings or hosting guests.
The middle floor is dedicated to the bedroom areas, where each of the spacious and bright rooms includes custom built-in wardrobes and private bathrooms. The master bedroom suite is designed with luxury in mind, offering a living room that serves as an antechamber to the bedroom. This space leads to a generous double dressing room and a spa-like bathroom with a double sink, separate toilet cabin, and a spacious double shower.
The lower floor features a grand entrance gallery perfect for displaying the homeowners’ art collection, setting the tone for the sophisticated style of the home. This level also includes a gym and a painting atelier for one of the owners, providing a perfect environment for creative work and wellness.
