We were commissioned to carry out a full refurbishment of a luxury family villa in Cabrera de Mar, one of the most exclusive areas of Maresme, Barcelona. The owners, a couple with two children, have moved to the region to live in Barcelona and wanted to transform their home into a more functional, comfortable, and modern living space.

The original design of the villa featured a ground floor divided into small, enclosed rooms, which restricted the flow of natural light and made the space feel cramped. Our architectural team focused on opening up the space to create a more spacious, airy atmosphere that better connected the home with its surrounding environment.
The new design removed walls and partitions on the ground floor, resulting in a bright, open-plan layout where natural light floods the interiors. We also included new bathrooms to enhance functionality and comfort. The custom-made furniture was thoughtfully designed to complement the home’s aesthetic and provide practicality.
The heart of the home currently is an expansive living and dining area seamlessly connected, with a modern kitchen tucked behind sliding oak doors. The large oak sliding doors create a sense of separation without sacrificing the open layout, giving each area its own purpose while maintaining visual flow. This design maximizes the space, making it more functional and better connected with the exterior, ideal for family living and entertaining.
To make the most of the stunning sea views that the property offers, we redesigned the upper floor into a luxurious sleeping area. Natural oak stairs lead to this floor, where each bedroom has been completely reconfigured with custom-built furniture to ensure maximum comfort and style. Every room is now equipped with its own private bathroom, offering privacy and luxury for all family members.
The master suite stands out with a spacious dressing room and an impressive double bathroom. The wet area includes a large shower and a bathtub, providing the ultimate relaxation experience while overlooking the sea.
